| Nathanaël Berthon used the Abu Dhabi weekend as an opportunity to learn about qualifying and racing a GP2 car and the Frenchman quickly showed his talent by qualifying tenth and running quickly in the first race until a mechanical failure saw him retire. Berthon was even faster on Saturday driving an excellent race to climb from 19th on the grid to finish 8th at the chequered flag, unfortunately a post-race penalty saw him drop to 14th.
The Racing Engineering team, in their new red and yellow livery, is sure to be right at the front for this weekend’s races and a victory for one of their drivers is a real possibility on this famous 4.9 Km Italian track.
