The final pre-season testing begins today, the 1st April, at the Sakhir Circuit in Bahrain and all the GP2 teams will be attending for the three days of running before the opening race in the 2015 GP2 Series.

In last month’s tests at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi Racing Engineering’s two new drivers, Jordan King and Alexander Rossi, set some very promising times. Now these final three days will be very important for the Spanish team and both men to finalise all the details of car set-up, driver comfort as well as practising qualifying laps and race distance runs. These will be particularly important for Jordan as this will be his first season in GP2 as well as his first time at the Bahrain International Circuit. For Alexander, although he has yet to complete a full season, his experience of GP2 racing will prove invaluable in continuing to build a rapport with the team and allowing him to give informed feedback to his race engineer.

The first round of the 2015 GP2 Series will take place at the Sakhir Circuit from the 17th to the 19th of April.
