Racing Engineering is pleased to announce their collaboration with the Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald, a charitable organisation dedicated to creating homes for families with hospitalised children.

For the team it is very satisfying to collaborate with such an important cause and to become part of the initiatives that this organization supports and develops through the Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald which helps families who need to spend time outside their normal surroundings so that their seriously ill children can receive treatment. The Houses are planned with the idea of taking care of the needs of the families who live there so that they can concentrate on the health of their little ones.

Racing Engineering hopes that its collaboration with the Foundation can give a little happiness to the children who are in delicate states of health and, besides giving help to people with such needs at a difficult time, to also support the organisation in its work to create awareness of what it is achieving. The GP2 team will display the logo of the Foundation on its two cars that are competing in the International category, where Jordan King and Alexander Rossi, bearing numbers 7 and 8, will be the drivers promoting the cause throughout the 2015 season in the 10 countries that make up the Championship. GP2 shares its calendar and circuits with Formula 1 as part of one of the major sport events competing at a world-wide level and being at the pinnacle of motorsport.

Alfonso de Orleans-Bourbon, President of Racing Engineering: “We are delighted to announce our collaboration with the Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald and thus being able to help create awareness of a cause of this nature and being able to show the great work and effort that this organisation is responsible for. The power of sport, in this case motorsport competition, will help us to reach many children and their families who have to cope with such a serious crisis in their lives. It would be wonderful if we managed to inspire them and to help them escape for a while with the excitement of the races and so help them bear the long days a little better.”

Angel Bataller, Manager of the Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald: “For us it is a source of pride that the GP2 Racing Engineering team is collaborating with the Fundación Infantil Ronald McDonald and will carry our logo during the 2015 season on their cars. Without doubt it will allow a much greater awareness of our activities and, thusly, be able to continue serving the families whom have to move far from their usual homes so that their children can receive hospital treatment of the highest quality. We want to thank Racing Engineering for its great commitment and we are sure that this will be a season full of successes.”
