25/07/15 Jordan King finishes sixth today at the Hungaroring.
	The weather was even warmer today for the 37 lap Feature Race than it had been for yesterday’ practice and qualifying with air and track temperatures now at 32° and 48° respectively. Following yesterday’s qualifying Jordan King was starting from 6th on the grid with Alexander Rossi back in 11th and the Racing Engineering team went for different tyre strategies for the two drivers with Jordan on the Pirelli P Zero White medium compound tyres and Alexander with the Pirelli P Zero Yellow soft compound. As the lights went off Jordan was a little slow away losing a place to Sirotkin into the second corner but he quickly settled into 7th place right behind the Rapax car and just ahead of Evans but, as the cars were on the second lap, Canamasas left the track causing the Safety Car to be deployed. As racing resumed on lap four Jordan was running side by side with Sirotkin but was unable to find a way past the Russian driver and he now had Haryanto on his gearbox so he was having to drive defensively but on lap seven he lost the place to the Campos car which was on the softer tyres. On lap 10 Haryanto took his pitstop moving Jordan up to 5th, 3.2 seconds behind Sirotkin in 4th and by lap fourteen he had reduced the gap to 1.5 seconds. The young Briton was continuing to close the gap and it was now down to just one second by lap seventeen and he was only five seconds behind race leader Lynn. By lap twenty Jordan was right on the gearbox of Sirotkin and he tried to pass into the first corner but he wasn’t quite able to manage the pass and he had to make sure that he didn’t make a mistake as Visoiu was right behind him. On lap 25 Jordan dived into the pits to change to the Pirelli P Zero Yellow soft compound tyres resuming in 12th place which became 9th as the remaining cars pitted and on lap twenty nine he passed Evans for 8th. With just three laps remaining the Racing Engineering car passed his teammate and Pic who were suffering badly from worn tyres and he took the chequered flag in 6th position. Alexander made a clean start and passed Yelloly to move up to 10th and he was soon chasing Haryanto and his teammate Jordan and on lap seven he took his mandatory pitstop switching to the Pirelli P Zero White medium soft compound tyres resuming in 21st place. By lap twelve Alexander was up to 14th as the other cars took their pitstops and he was now chasing Haryanto who was just under two seconds ahead of the Racing Engineering car. For the next ten laps Alexander kept the gap to Haryanto steady as he took care not to wear his tyres out and he was now lying 3rd of the cars that had stopped. As the remaining cars took their pitstops Alexander moved up to 4th position with ten laps remaining and the young American was now fighting hard with Pic but he soon pulled away from the Frenchman. As the race entered its closing laps Alexander was now fighting with Gasly who had the advantage of soft tyres and DRS and on lap thirty one he had to give way to the DAMS driver dropping to 5th and on the next lap he lost another place to Sirotkin as his tyres began to degrade badly and over the last five laps he fell back to finish in 12th at the flag. A strong race from Jordan will see him start third on the grid for tomorrow’s Sprint Race and his strong pace in recent races means he must be one of the favourites to take the win. For Alexander it was a disappointing race as he fell away at the end but he will be trying as hard as ever to get as many points as possible tomorrow.

	Team Comments: Thomas Lassus, Race Engineer: “A good race and good points for Jordan with great pace especially on the Option tyres at the end so we are looking forward to scoring some good points and getting on the podium tomorrow. We had decided to split the strategies today, obviously we found that one was quicker than the other one but starting from P11 with Alex we thought that starting on the Options was the best choice. In the end, it's obvious that the Prime stint for us today was too long as we hit a big tyre degradation. We are not that far away from the points with Alex tomorrow as well so we will work hard overnight to improve our tyre management for tomorrow and bring Alex back to score some good points.” Jordan King: “My start was good and I got a really good launch. But then I had wheel spin in the second phase of the start. From there the 1st lap was difficult to overtake and make up ground. I then focused for the next few laps on keeping my tyre temperature low and make them last. Then, when I started to push, the speed was good, but I got held up behind Marciello. After the pit stop I was still behind Sirotkin, but both of us has good pace and we came through the field from 12th to 6th. A few more laps and a podium was definitely on the cards. Starting from 3rd is a good opportunity to finally get a podium, which I was close to on several occasions already, and score some good points.” Alexander Rossi: “It was another difficult day for us. We tried an alternate strategy which clearly wasn't the best option and on top of this we had some heavy contact to the rear of our car after the restart which didn't help our case. Regardless we are working very hard this evening to come up with a solution to pull ourselves back up the order tomorrow to where we feel we should be.”
