Following the two opening weekends of the 2019 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series at Valencia in Spain and Franciacorta in Italy the Racing Engineering are now travelling to the Brands Hatch circuit in the south-east of England. The Spanish team has already made its mark in their debut season in the EuroNASCAR series with their very experienced Spanish driver Ander Vilariño, who has won the Series three times, winning both Elite 1 races at Valencia. The races at Franciacorta saw Myatt Snider take second in Saturday’s Elite 2 race in only his third EuroNASCAR race and added a sixth on Sunday. Although both Ander and and Romain Iannetta were retirements on Saturday, they drove very impressive races on Sunday with Ander finishing sixth and Romain a very impressive ninth from twenty-first on the grid.
The Brands Hatch circuit in Kent, south-east of London, is one of the most exciting UK racing circuits hosting the British GP for many years as well as rounds of the DTM, USAC Champ Cars, World Superbikes and World Touring Cars. The EuroNASCAR teams will be racing on the 1.929 km (1.198 mi) Indy Circuit and its six turns and long main straight should make for some very exciting racing. Once again the Racing Engineering team will be entering four drivers, Ander Vilariño and Romain Iannetta in Elite 1 with Myatt Snider and Eric Clement in Elite 2.
